K.ompound: A Fusion of Contemporary Korean Gastronomy
We commenced this exciting project by collaborating with the head chefs at Jinjoo and Wooboo, two vibrant gastronomic restaurants nestled in the K.ompound at Woltermonginsidi
Jinjoo
The Delight of White
JinJoo, meaning “pure gem” in Korean, distinguishes itself in Jakarta’s Korean dining scene by blending traditional cuisine with modern techniques, creating a truly unique dining experience.
Under the expert leadership of Chef JB, who honed his skills at renowned establishments such as MOSU Seoul, TocToc Seoul, and SPQR San Francisco, JinJoo presents two remarkable offerings: a 12-course signature meal and a 10-dish tasting course. Each course is meticulously crafted to showcase the restaurant’s unwavering commitment to quality and innovation. This dedication extends to the uniforms, as Chef JB and his team envisioned attire that embodies JinJoo’s identity. We collaborated closely to select the appropriate materials and colors, integrating practical features to enhance the overall dining experience.
This collaboration delivers a seamless blend of simplicity, functionality, and bold design in a white short-sleeve chef jacket, featuring an arm pocket and a snap button on the back of the collar to secure the apron in place, complemented by a white apron with a centered logo graph.
Woobo
Back to Black
Woobo is a modern Korean steakhouse helmed by Chef Narae Hahn. Born in Seoul and raised in Vienna, Austria, Chef Hahn is renowned for her innovative interpretation of Korean flavors, which are rooted in a profound respect for her heritage and inspired by her mother’s traditional cooking. Motivated by the joy her mother’s dishes bring to diners, Chef Hahn has opened three highly acclaimed restaurants in Seoul, South Korea. Now based in Jakarta, she masterfully leads Woobo, a beacon of Korean culinary excellence that offers an exquisite fusion of traditional flavors and contemporary elegance.
In alignment with Woobo’s serious and mysterious concept, we crafted workwear utilizing a single color—black. The uniform features a bold standing collar with a snap button, French cuffs, and tailored trousers. The minimal differences between the chefs and servers, marked only by cuff and button details, create a cohesive and striking look that reinforces the brand’s identity
