The Tenun Pattern as a Symbol of Ancestral Legacy

The tenun motif has been carefully incorporated as an accent, symbolizing the warm and welcoming atmosphere that Somerset offers to all its guests. According to Somerset’s branding guidelines, the goal is to make every guest feel at home.

The use of traditional weaving motifs embodies the essence of Indonesia, evoking a sense of comfort and familiarity, even in the remote areas of the country. We intentionally added a subtle tenun accent, which beautifully highlights the curated colors underneath.

We intentionally highlighted the Sumba pattern and printed it on a fabric similar to uniform material. We realized that the original woven or ATBM (Alat Tenun Bukan Mesin) fabric is not suitable for making uniforms due to challenges with maintenance and durability.

The Uniform

With a bold design, all Somersets in Indonesia share the same silhouette and design, differing only in colors and weaving motifs at each Somerset location.
